I’m a huge Tim Ferriss follower and a fan of the 4 Hour Work Week (affiliate link). One of the tips that Tim shares in the book is the art of getting to the point for walk-ups (my words, not his). This practice involves wearing headphones.
What will wearing headphones do?
- Give the perception that you’re busy and don’t want to be disturbed – you don’t actually have to listen to anything
- Filter out any distracting noises
- Let’s you get sh*t done!
I’ve found that it’s easier and more effective to have some sort of noise while working – kind of like having a fan running while sleeping.
Simply Noise, or some other white noise generator, is your tip of the week. Some screen shots are included below.
